On Thursday 28th July, as part of The Greater Manchester Fringe Festival, there will be a special event taking place at the The Albert Square Chop House.

Cartoon legend, Tony Husband will be giving a presentation and talking to award-winning journalist, Sally Williams about his work as a cartoonist and his inspiration and journey through creating his recent book, Take Care, Son: The Story of My Dad and Dementia. Plus, celebrated wordsmith, Tony Walsh will be opening up the evening with a selection of his popular poems.

Take Care, Son is beautifully moving ~ but also very funny ~ and has touched so many people in all walks of life. It has been acclaimed by experts in the field of dementia and is now used as a reference guide in care homes and hospitals. Currently there are plans are for Take Care, Son to be turned into an animation, by the makers of The Snowman.

Sally will be talking to Tony not only about this book, but also about his other up-and-coming projects; his personal stories from days at the Groucho Club and his love of music.

After the interview there will be a Q&A with the audience, followed some live cartoon requests created by Tony, which will offered to the audience via donations for Dementia UK.

At the end of the evening, Tony will be signing copies of his books, which will be available to buy on the night.
