The Bierkeller Entertainment Complex has announced an official charity partnership with Global Radio, supporting its Global’s Make Some Noise campaign in venues across the country

Bars in Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, Birmingham and Nottingham will team up with their local station to raise money throughout the year for chosen charities helping youngsters and their families who are living with illness, disability or lack of opportunity.

Global’s Make Some Noise runs nationwide and covers radio stations including Capital FM, Heart, Classic FM, Smooth, LBC, Radio X and Gold. Projects supported this year are Genie Networks (Manchester), Children’s Heart Surgery Fund (Leeds), Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice (Liverpool), Childhood Eye Cancer Trust (Birmingham), Children’s Bereavement Centre (Nottingham) and Local Aid (Cardiff).

General managers at each Bierkeller Entertainment Complex will become champions for their charity, encouraging staff and customers to get involved in fund-raising.

A donation of 50p for every Cocktail of the Week bought and 50p for every Oktoberfest classic bratwurst – a signature favourite at the Bavarian Bierkeller and sports bar Shooters – will go directly to the campaign. Customers will also be given the option to add a £1 donation to their bill for tables having waiter service.

Since it launched in 2004, Global’s Make Some Noise has raised almost £7million and supported 135 small charities and projects around the UK who struggle to get heard. Global radio stations give them a voice.

Bierkeller Entertainment Complexes will play a key role in helping them achieve their cash targets to provide life-changing support and vital services which might otherwise not be available.Isaac Mayne, head of marketing and promotions for BurningNight Group which owns the bars, said they were looking forward to becoming the campaign’s official partner:

“This is a brilliant opportunity for us to be able to give back every year to a different charity and we will be doing some really exciting things in all sites for staff, management and customers to get involved with.”
