Breaking Bad inspired cocktail experience has come to Manchester – you don’t want to miss this…

After a hugely successful three-year stint in London, Paris and New York, Lollipop’s cocktail experience ‘ABQ’ has come to Manchester.

The project has been a huge hit with customers all over the world, with the immersive cocktail experience consistently selling out. After 4,000 Manchester locals signed onto a waiting list ABQ has finally arrived and is now open for reservations.

So what exactly is it?

ABQ is a cocktail making experience set in an American RV, which can accommodate up to 30 guests. Inside the makeshift laboratory you get the chance to cook up cocktails using molecular mixology techniques. Hazmat suits, goggles, gas masks and more are provided to get guests feeling really in character.

Bookings are pre-paid at £30, which gets visitors two hours in the RV, along with a cocktail upon arrival and two more which you get to make yourself.

VIVA decided to go and see what all the fuss is about, here’s what we thought:

Any Breaking Bad fan will recognize the iconic RV straightaway, and it was quite comical to see it slapped in the middle of MediaCity. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a shot and told to put on the Hazmat suits, as one of the cooks passed around funky looking c

ocktails.

The two hours flew by as we got to choose different cocktails to make, including one called the ‘Dry Walter’ where you get to use Nitrogen cavitation to infuse the drink with grapefruit and ginger. It doesn’t matter if you aren’t exactly skilled in the Science area – the team are at hand to help you with every step.

Everyone really got into the swing of things, it’s impossible not to get involved and enjoy it. If the cocktails are quickly finished, you can also buy beers and cocktails throughout the evening too.

There’s nowhere else quite like this – it’s a brilliant idea that puts a creative twist on drinking. It’s original, innovative and definitely makes for a night to remember.
