Following her hugely successful UK Summer tour with a run of house shows, headline slots and festival appearances –  including Secret Garden Party andCambridge Folk Festival – Nashville based singer songwriter Callaghan releases new single, ‘We Don’t Have To Change The World’ on August 21.

Currently on BBC Radio 2’s C List, ‘We Don’t Have To Change The World’ comes hot on the heels of great acclaim for Callaghan’s savvy house touring model, which has helped her retain complete artistic control over her music as well as a financially viable career. Billboard Magazine credited her initiative with “helping reshape the business of touring, if not music consumption entirely”.

At the heart of Callaghan’s music is a deeply entrenched relationship with her fans, which has propelled her success – and this spills over onto the album. Her recent guide to house tours, dedicated to up-and-coming musicians interested in her touring model, reiterates the importance of the connection between artist and audience. Fittingly, ‘We Don’t Have To Change The World’ features backing vocals by a fan who subscribed to her Pledge campaign.
