The Meghan shoe is what Charlotte would love to see Meghan wear on her big day

With the Royal Wedding of Price Harry and Meghan Markle quickly approaching, Saddleworth-based designer Charlotte Mills has created a wedding shoe she would love to see Meghan wear on the big day.

The look Meghan will wear on her wedding day will undoubtedly be stunning and carefully planned out.

The shoe Charlotte has designed to complete this look will be hand crafted in the finest kid leather and will have a crushed pearl glitter vamp to ensure Meghan looks beautiful from head to toe.

Charlotte is a BA Hons graduate from the prestigious Cordwainers at London College of Fashion and has bridal boutiques in Saddleworth and London.

The bottom of the shoe has the traditional British rhyme embossed onto it

She said: “Meghan has a great style, and it would be a dream to design her shoes. The design I have created would be a style that I could picture her wearing; Simple and elegant with feminine details. Meghan loves a point style, and we have had to incorporate one of our signature hearts into this style too.

“The block heel is so popular with our brides, as you are on your feet all day. They want to feel comfortable and block heels are perfect for dancing the night away.”

All shoes by the brand, which specialises in Bridal and RTW shoes and accessories, include an original silver sixpence in the left shoe.

This follows the very British tradition whereby a father will give his daughter a sixpence on her wedding day to bring her good luck and prosperity throughout her married life.

Every bridal shoe by Charlotte Mills also has the tradition rhyme “Something Old, Something New, Something Borrowed, Something Blue and a Silver Sixpence in Her Shoe” embossed onto the soul of the shoes (see picture, right).

This concept seems fitting to Meghan as the wedding will symbolize her becoming part of the British Royal Family.

The Meghan shoe is currently in production and will be available to purchase in May just in time for Meghan and Harry’s big day.
