Christmas Season – Joanie Clothing A/W17 Christmas Event

WOMEN’S clothing brand Joanie recently launched it’s A/W17 collection at their exclusive Christmas party hosted at LEAF on Portland Street in Manchester City Centre. Upon arrival guests received complimentary drinks specially crafted for the event. Guests could choose between ‘Joanie’s Christmas Spirit’ cocktail or glasses of prosecco finished with a sprinkling of edible flowers. The Christmas fairy had certainly dazzled the room with glitter and festive fun. There were giant crackers branded with the ‘Joanie’ logo , as well as Christmas trees , a lot of tinsel and giant balloons.

Guests could browse the rails full of classic Joanie slogan jumpers and velvet dresses amongst a whole array of outfits perfect for the festive season ahead and into the New Year. A popular trend this year has been the 70’s style wide flare trousers , slogan tees, captain style hats, corduroy , and sequins to name a few. It was evident that the Joanie had incorporated these aspects into their clothing but with a fun vintage twist as known of the Joanie brand.

Christmas music played throughout the night adding to the Christmas spirit as well as a gingerbread decorating workshop hosted by ‘Time for Sweetpea’ who taught the guests how to pipe icing correctly as well as how to create intricate patterns on their gingerbread houses and Christmas trees for a star baker finish. Throughout the night a live singer ‘Becki Fishwick’ entertained with her vintage style take on popular Christmas songs including ‘Rockin around the Christmas Tree’ adding to the Christmas spirit and the opportunity for guests to have a dance.

Guests were also treated to a goodybag containing gifts from Joanie , Fentiman’s Brewery , The Happiness Planner and Skin Health , Willies Cacao and Flint + Flint.
