On Friday 27 MayClub Zero ~ a new club night for Prestwich ~ opens at The Longfield.

Club Zero will be the first in a series of club nights aimed at 30 some-things (although all ages will be most welcome) who love dancing to great music and a having a great night out ~ it’s as simple as that!

The organisers of this new night have strong connections with Prestwich – having been involved with The Prestwich Beer Festival and the Bop Local events – and were asked if they’d like to put on a club night in the area.

Club Zero will have different guest DJs each time and plans to run quarterly throughout the year. DJs for the inaugural Club Zero will be Clint Boon (Inspiral Carpets, BBC Radio Manchester, South)Michelle & Nat (BBC Introducing, BBC Radio 1), Martin Holland (4 To The Floor, Bop Local) plus an early door’s playlist c/o Prestwich’s very own Tony Walsh aka Longfella Poet!

As co-organiser and DJ, Martin Holland says, ‘the music policy will be anything that gets people up on the dancefloor, whether it’s a Hacienda classic, through to ska, funk, grime, disco, punk, Northern Soul or The Stone Roses!’

As part of each Club Zero night, money will be raised for a Manchester charity. The first nominated one will be the Prestwich-based charity, MedEquip4Kids, who help provide equipment and improve facilities for children in hospitals. MedEquip4Kids will be running the cloakroom at The Longfield, so all donations handed over, will go directly to them.

So, for anyone wanting to throw shapes on the dancefloor, celebrate a birthday, or mark a special occasion ~ but still get home before it’s light ~ Club Zero is the ideal place for a great night out!

Club Zero isn’t a retro night ~ it’s simply all about good music, dancing and having fun!

Tickets for Club Zero will be £5 in advance (£7 on the door) and available here.

Tickets are currently available at Cuckoo in Prestwich & will also be available at All The Shapes.

Doors 8.30pm-1am.
