The Courteeners are set to return to Manchester this week in their first performance here since their 16,000 capacity performance at Castlefield Bowl in 2013 at the city’s iconic Heaton Park. Friday night marks the start of a huge summer of touring for the Manchester quartet preceding their Glastonbury appearance later this month and their headline slot at V Festival in August.

Home to some of the cities most memorable musical moments including The Stone Roses comeback dates and Oasis’ last live performances back in 2009, Liam Fray and the boys will join the venues hall of fame as they play their biggest gig in the band’s history to a crowd of 20,000. Showcasing their impressive four studio albums St. Jude, Falcon, Anna and Concrete Love, the band receive support from Peace, Bipolar Sunshine and Blossoms which kick start the evening at 5.45pm.

Kicking off a weekend of live music at Manchester’s iconic music venue, the Courteeners provide an unofficial warm up evening to the festivities of The Parklife Weekender taking place on the 7th and 8th of June, which sees the likes of Mark Ronson, Jessie Ware, Disclosure and Rudimental grace the stage.

A limited number of tickets are available for Friday’s show on ViaGoGo with prices starting from £59.99.
