Craig David to headline The Jockey Club Live at Aintree Racecourse

The Jockey Club Live and Aintree Racecourse are excited to announce multi platinum-selling artist Craig David as the first act for next years’ summer season.

The Grammy and BRIT award nominated singer will be headlining an open air concert on June 15th at the racecourse in Liverpool.

Having sold over 15 million albums, achieving 16 Top Ten hits and selling out headline tours in seconds to securing a residency at the iconic Ibiza Rocks Hotel… it’s official, Craig David is back and better than ever!

Initially rising to success with hit singles including ‘7 Days’, ‘Fill Me In’ and ‘Walking Away’, Craig David has catapulted back into the nations hearts (and UK charts) sixteen years later with Big Narstie on the summer hit ‘When The Bassline Drops’, marking the beginning of his triumphant return.

At Aintree we’ll no doubt be treated to a set list of his biggest hits along with tracks from his new album, ‘The Time Is Now’, which will be released in the new year.

The first track from his new album, ‘I Know You’, features chart-topping indie band Bastille.

John Baker, Regional Director for Jockey Club Racecourses North West, said:

‘We are delighted to confirm Craig David’s first headline show at Aintree racecourse. His live shows are renowned, having sold out arenas across the country, I have no doubt we are in for an incredible performance.’

The Jockey Club Live are leading promoters on the UK live scene, delivering spectacular line-ups of some of the hottest chart talent and legendary household names.

Last year we saw the likes of Jess Glynne and the Kaiser Chiefs making their marks on the stage at Aintree and we’ve no doubt that Craig David will be following closely in their footsteps next summer.

So make sure you don’t miss out ‘When The Bassline Drops’ on the 15th June.

Tickets go on sale at 8am on Friday 15th December at The Jockey Club Live, where you can find all the information for a night that is certainly not one to be missed.
