Den Design Hub: Opening the door to a new way of working in interior design

Rachel Perera | 29th May 2018

Bespoke furniture manufacturers and interior designers, Den Living are opening the doors to their historic mill to invite interior designers to be part of the new Den Design Hub; a collaborative workspace concept tailor-made for industry professionals launching on the 28th June 2018.

The first of its kind in the region, Den Living are offering designers the chance to benefit from an energising work environment in New Victoria Mills, Bury, designed to promote collaboration in a shared and supportive space, along with access to a network of unique resources and industry-tailored services, contacts, experience and trade accounts.

The Den Design Hub incorporates The Hub and The Den; large, bright and airy, purpose-built communal spaces where designers have the room to deliver creativity, along with access to materials, fabric books, manufacturing and delivery all under one roof and supported by a business 15 years in the sector.

Members benefit from access to bespoke furniture manufacturing and the Den Living Head of Design for expert advice and support on client proposals. With an 8000 sq ft manufacturing floor at their disposal, designers can create furniture to specification onsite with the Den Living design team and enjoy the opportunity of overseeing production whilst watching designs being turned into reality.

Den Design Hub membership also includes access to over 30 trade accounts for furniture, fittings, fabrics and accessories. In addition to benefiting from a host of exclusive discounts and savings with trade suppliers, the Hub will be consistently stocked with the latest sample books from names such as Romo, Zinc and Andrew Martin. As purchasing fabric sample books costs upwards of £3000 annually, the Hub’s extensive sample library offers a unique cost-saving benefit not available in other general shared workspaces.

Other tailored amenities are on-site furniture storage, a professional white glove delivery service, ample parking, a photoshoot studio, complimentary refreshments, a landline number with messaging service and a programme of curated on-site events ranging from exhibitions to networking evenings. Designers will also have access to a black book of contacts containing all of the installation and delivery experts needed to complete any project, no matter how big or small.

Den Living MD Daniel Healey said:

“Being a designer requires a unique way of seeing and visualising outcomes; but running a business as a designer can mean a lot of time is spent searching for partners.

From material suppliers to craftsmen and delivery teams, a designer’s time is often spent on administration instead of on the creation of visions for the client. The Design Hub is a comprehensive solution that addresses every need of an interior designer. The space is phenomenal, the services offered are unique and sharing our experience and contacts, we can help designers take their business to the next level whilst they benefit from working alongside like-minded individuals in a vibrant, creative space.”

The Den Design Hub launches on 28th June 2018 at New Victoria Mills, Bury and interior designers are invited to attend for a tour of the mill and the workspace. Complimentary refreshments will be on offer and the Den Living design team will be on hand to answer any questions.

‘Madchester’ themed artwork by acclaimed Manchester-based artists Dunstan Carter and Jay ‘ee-go’ Smith will be on display and designers will get the opportunity to meet and greet these prolific creatives along with Amy Coney, who created the acclaimed Manchester Bee piece which was auctioned for charity following the Manchester terror attack in 2017.

Designers that sign up to Den Design hub membership will also be invited to an exclusive VIP event on the 7th July where they will get the chance to network with a host of Den Living’s premium clients. With names such as Rio Ferdinand, Boohoo and a host of renowned hospitality brands on the Den Living client books, this will be an exceptional chance for interior designers to showcase work and form long-lasting business relationships with potential, high profile customers.

Den Design Membership is just £249 per month making it a low-cost solution for designers looking for quality working space, presentation facilities, showcase areas, access to materials, manufacturing and delivery all in one purpose-built, creative location, designed for collaboration.
