Mount Kimbie, Tom Misch and Dixon to play Farr Festival 2018

Alicia Boukersi | 24th January 2018

Hertfordshire’s Farr Festival celebrates its ninth year this summer bringing an array of international musical talent to the tranquil environment surroundings of Bygrave Woods.

Previous performances from Bicep, Floating Points, Ben UFO, and Midland have lamented the festival as one of the best electronic events in the UK.

This year Farr will open its doors on Thursday 5th July with a captivating live set from Canadian producer Jacques Greene, who has worked with the likes of Jimmy Edgar to The XX.

“Post-dubstep” duo Mount Kimbie will take to the stage on Friday. Their third album “Four Years and One Day” was released in October and featured seductive beats and an immersive production. Collaborations with artists James Blake and King Krule have added to their status, making them a duo to watch out for this year. Shy FX, Daphni and Tom Misch will also perform.

Saturday 7th July sees Innervisions label boss Dixon play a specially extended three-hour set. Moodymann will also be playing his techno/house dance tracks including ‘Lyk U Use 2’ and ‘Don’t You Want My Love’.

Other names on the line-up include Maribou State, George Fitzgerald, Young Marco and BBC Radio 1’s own Benji B.

The line-up for Sunday will be revealed in the coming weeks with even bigger names set to perform on the last night.

Farr is not solely about music though. Yoga classes, hot tubs and cocktail workshops make the festival an intimate and enriching experience for both mind and body, sound-tracked by cutting-edge music.
