Headlander Festival Announces Full Line-Up

Bramhall’s Headlander Festival has announced its full line-up, for what is all set to be a fantastic weekend for music fans of all ages over the weekend of Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June.

Exciting new additions to the line-up include a ‘Girls on Guitars’ night on the acoustic stage on Saturday 20th featuring up and coming Stockport based folk trio The Hayes Sisters, Trinity Sessions winner Finola Daley-Dee, London based singer songwriter Hannah White and 19 year old singer-songwriter from Winsford Sam Lyon. Added to the Sunday afternoon line up is The Manchester Airport Choir who were assembled by choirmaster Gareth Malone at the start of 2012 for the BBC 2 Show ‘Sing while you work’.

Other musical highlights include Roachford who had the massive late 80’s hit Cuddley Toy, Canadian beatbox harmonica player Son Of Dave who had a track featured in the award winning TV series Breaking Bad, From The Jam featuring Bruce Foxton the original bassist with The Jam (who scored 18 top 40 hits), Australian – Irish duo Hat Fitz and Cara, Nashville based singer songwriter Clive Gregson, X Factor semi finalist James Michael and Best Duo winners at the 2014 BBC Radio Two Folk Awards Phillip Henry & Hannah Martin and Best New Band winners at the Liverpool Music Awards in 2013 – The Hummingbirds.

Live music will be taking place over 4 stages including the Scruff of The Neck stage which will feature 20 of the best local up and coming acts from the North West. Other activities talking place over the weekend include Magicians, Stilt Walkers Face Painting, Music Workshops, Bouncy Castles, Circus Skills, Rides and Amusements and Theatre Groups. Also on site will be foods from around the world, Best of Stockport Traders, Crafts and Arts stalls and for the first time at the festival, an inflatable pub!

Headlander Festival also offers free car parking for all. Plus if you really want to embrace the festival experience Camperlands Hassle free camping are offering a variety of camping options, including a pop-up package option, tent hire option, and luxury glamping option and tent pitching services. Also running up to the festival you can see some of the acts for free as part of the Headlander on Tour events taking place at The Acoustic Lounge in Poynton on 23rd and 24th May, Foodie Friday at Stockport Market on 29th May, Live Stockport on 5th June and The Bakers Vaults Stockport on 10th June.
