Last month VIVA found itself in the West Yorkshire city of Leeds to watch the iconic Mariah Carey at the First Direct Arena.

Having checked out various hotel options the destination had to offer, the centrally-located, luxurious Park Plaza was the clear choice for the night.

Park Plaza Leeds is the perfect base for visitors to explore one of the UK’s most exciting and dynamic cultural centres. Located at the heart of the city, all the best designer shops, museums, art galleries and historical monuments are just a stone’s throw from the hotel’s revolving glass front door.

On entering, guests glide into a calm lobby with resplendent reception area, complete with multi-coloured disco dancefloor backdrop.

Striking lighting is an evident theme when walking around the hotel – from stylish lights of the Scene Lobby Bar, which looks onto the busy City Square, to the red and purple back-lit hues of the award-winning Chino Latino Pan-Asian Restaurant & Bar on the first floor.

PPL 6And booking a suite on the 20th floor in THE tallest hotel in the city definitely didn’t disappoint. My friend and I were wowed walking into to our spacious enclave for the eve, complete 180 degree skyline views of Leeds and its surrounds.

The suites comfy beds and fluffy pillows helped us rest our sleepy heads after a night of singing and dancing.

The ideal choice for weekday business travellers, the hotel also offers a business centre, on-site fitness centre and foreign currency exchange if needed. Rooms at the Park Plaza Leeds start from £85.00 per night.
