Breast Cancer Cheque Presentation, MAD LtdA charity night held at Hula Manchester on Sunday 25th October in aid of Breast Cancer Awareness month has raised over £2500 for Breast Cancer Care.

For one night only the usual bar tending line-up was replaced with an all girl take-over on the bar, a DJ set courtesy of Viva Ems and May Ellie Crick playing live sax.

Absolutely every penny from bar sales on the evening have been donated by MAD Ltd, who own and operate Hula, along with personal donations from bosses.

Partners and suppliers of MAD Ltd also chipped in – with alcohol donated from Pernod Ricard, Venus and Mangrove, which enabled revelers to enjoy special drink deals on the night including 2 for 1 cocktails and £1 shots.

The team went all out and decorated the bar with pink accessories and also created a fun photo-booth with giant #BreastMate breasts and other pink props including hats, feather boas and glasses.

Abbie Blasdale, Area Manager says; “We wanted to do something for Breast Cancer Awareness month, as some of our staff have been personally affected by it. And we are over the moon with the support we had – absolutely everyone got behind the event, the staff worked for free and even donated all their tips! We’re really pleased with the total we’ve raised and to be able to provide a cash donation to help local people affected by cancer.”

And Hula hasn’t finished with its charitable work yet, the bar staff have all posed for photographs to create a hilarious Hula 2016 calendar, which will be available to buy from mid November for just £5.
