“I think we’ve found Manchester’s answer to Jake Bugg “

– Michelle Hussey BBC Introducing Manchester

With their hotly anticipated new track ‘TOO MUCH TOO SOON’ now unleashed upon our air waves and a rapturously received set at this year’s Dot To Dot Festival under their belt, Bolton’s venerated indie laureate and Greater Manchester’s most likely – JORDAN ALLEN – now set their sights on a Manchester mid-Summer show of considerable magnitude.

With fans struggling to pile into a packed-out set at The Castle Hotel at this year’s Dot To Dot Festival, word has since spread like wildfire about this quickly ascending outfit.  Looking to meet fast growing demand to catch the fledgling four piece live, the band will play a headline show at celebrated indie hideout The Ruby Lounge on the 20th August 2016

Part of a bundle of wall-to-wall bangers recorded in Peter Gabriel’s highly-conducive Real World Studios, ’Too Much Too Soon’ is the latest anthemic instalment to emerge from a series of prolific sessions held there. Inconspicuously nestled in the Wiltshire countryside, this stardom-steeped facility has provided the creative conditions for Jordan Allen to pen over 20 new arrangements. ’Too Much…’, a key stone in this awesome arc of output, was lovingly arrived at by revered production sage Steve Osborne [ New Order, U2, Doves, KT Tunstall ].

An unrequited love song at its core and an exercise in developing a cool and coy demeanour, 21 year old Jordan Allen utilises deft lyrical prowess and wisdom beyond his years to capture the essence of an age old dilemma.

“Too Much Too Soon is about reflecting on the naivety of how easy it is to fall head over heels when you’re young. Being completely unaware of how young I was and how none of it really mattered I did some ridiculous stuff, sent flowers, wrote poems, wrote songs and none of it worked – (Too Much To Soon) if I had my life experience that I have now and played it cool, things might have been different.

Still performing under the name of their silver-tongued frontman, Jordan Allen are here to restore your faith in razor sharp lyricism and rock’n’roll.
Hitting a rich seam of song writing inspiration, the band have been bunkered up in Peter Gabriel’s stardom-steeped Real World Studios with production guru Steve Osborne  (Happy Mondays, New Order, U2, Doves, KT Tunstall) where they have been writing and rehearsing together. From these prolific sessions produced a multitude of songs that will finally see the light of day, both on record and the live circuit, throughout 2016.
With their most recent material taking inspiration from the glowering presence of Lou Reed, glam-era Bowie and the grit of 70s punk, Jordan Allen have forged a deeper, more powerful sound primed to separate them from the pack.
