Manchester Arena to reopen with amazing #WeAreManchester show

Will Whitby | 16th August 2017

Following on from the success of One Love Manchester, We Are Manchester is set to go ahead on Saturday 9th September.

The benefit concert will serve to reopen the MEN Arena to the public- the first time since the May 22nd suicide bombing which saw 22 dead and hundreds injured.

Manchester favourites Noel Gallagher, The Courteeners and Blossoms will be performing.

Whilst pop veteran Rick Astley and poet Tony Walsh have also confirmed they will be taking part.

All profits will go to the Manchester Memorial Fund, which will fund a permanent memorial to those that died in the attack.

MEN Arena staff insist there will be extra security and ID checks at the venue.

Noel Gallagher was hit with backlash after not performing at the One Love Manchester concert alongside his brother, and fellow Oasis member, Liam in June.

Their song Don’t Look Back In Anger has become a moving anthem for the city and its people’s incessant spirit.

Tickets will also go on sale at 9am tomorrow (Thursday 17th August) through Ticketmaster and Eventim.
