Manchester Fashion Network stepped back in time 100 years for a Peaky Blinders themed ball to celebrate 1920s fashion.

Taking place at the beautiful and newly renovated Manchester Hall, VIVA got to enter the exclusive party with a secret password.

Guests were also treated to a special surprise which we are sharing! A 25% discount code to be used on HireThatLook.com!

Partygoers were treated to a classy and relaxed ambience served with live music and top-notch prosecco. Everybody was rewarded with two raffle tickets each upon entry to try Thomas Dakin zesty orange gin.

The ball was very special to Manchester Hall because it was one of the first major fashion events of its kind since it was renovated last November. The hall features newly revamped decor giving it a modern vibe while remaining stylish.

The event began at 8 pm and many flat caps and feathers flocked to the main room. Inside was prosecco, live entertainment and even pizza by sponsor Crazy Pedros.

The Fashion Network said, “the event is to celebrate fashion and all of the hard work that has been put into Manchester’s Fashion Industry over the busy season.”

“We have had lots of support from our sponsors and would like to thank Manchester Hall for having us and helping to make this event possible. Their venue is lovely. We’d like to thank Thomas Dakin for supplying us all with gin and Crazy Pedros for the pizza. Also a massive thanks to Dead Legacy, Bunting, Hide That Look, Shoosmiths and Drapers. Also the incredible live performances by G.I. Jive, keeping us entertained throughout the evening.”

Dancing seemed like an integral part of the evening where people could join in, learning how to dance 20’s style with the help of G.I. Jive. It was great fun and couples loved it!

The Fashion Network later announced the winner of ‘the best dressed’ competition where the person who dressed best, won a £100 voucher to spend on Dead Legacy!

Congratulations Lydia for winning ‘best dressed’. Also well done of course to the runners-up, Lucy and Arthur, who were rewarded with Thomas Dakin umbrellas to make sure they didn’t go home empty-handed!

As well as a special umbrella, Lydia won a £100 voucher to spend on clothing from brand Dead Legacy!

Congratulations to our best dressed Lydia!

The evening did not stop there, as more dancing followed with a few modern tunes, to transition the end of the night back into our era.

The drinks kept on flowing throughout the evening thanks to Thomas Dakin gin and all of the hard work behind the bar to keep us all quenched.

Furthermore, in 2018 we remember 100 years on as women fought and won the right to vote!
