We spoke to Arron Tierney, the graphic designer, and promoter for the event and he said: “It is going to be huge, we are definitely going to sell out. The guest lineup this year is way better than last time, so people should get their tickets now” He also announced that Harry Potter fans will be tended to, with Hagrid’s hut set to be on show again. Carrying on, he said: “Fans will be in for a few surprises during the event and maybe even some extra guests.”

One of the most exciting parts of the convention is seeing some iconic Sci-Fi props being brought back to life. But if the star wars cantina, the Viper mark 2 from battle star Galactica or K.I.T.T from Knight rider isn’t enough to get you jumping off your seat with excitement, then have a look at some of the lineup:

William Shatner– actor, author, producer, and director. He has played some insanely iconic characters over the years, including the most well-known star trek character ever- James Tiberius Kirk, captain of the USS Enterprise!

David Hasselhoff– also known as “The Hoff” David is an American actor, singer, producer, and businessman, who set a Guinness World Record as the most-watched man on TV. He first gained recognition on The Young and The Restless, playing Dr. Snapper Foster. His career continued with his leading role as Michael Knight in Knight Rider and as L.A. County Lifeguard Mitch Buchannon in the series Baywatch.

Dolph Lundgren– actor, director, screenwriter, producer, and martial artist. His first big screen appearance was in James Bond A View to a Kill in 1985, and ever since has appeared in a catalog of more than 40 films most of them in the action genre. He is possibly most well-known for his role as Ivan Drago in Rocky IV and He-Man in Masters of the Universe. Dolph has recently been cast as King Nereus in the 2018 Aquaman movie.

Ernie Hudson– Probably one of the most recognisable faces in science fiction cinema with his portrayal of Winston Zeddemore in the hugely successful Ghostbusters 1 & 2. He also had a cameo in the 2016 Ghostbusters reboot!

That is just 4 people from the almost endless list of celebrity guests who will be attending this year For The Love Of Sci-Fi event. To find out more about who is coming then head over to their website and read about their other celebrity guests (HINT: Darth Vader may be making an appearance)

Also, if you would love the opportunity to ask some burning questions to the celebrity guests then this event is your chance. They will be hosting a free celebrity panel where you can ask questions and listen to their words of wisdom, but you will have to get in there fast because it is predicted to fill up pretty quickly.

There will also be various different acts throughout the weekend, including a stunt show and the Picadilly symphony orchestra playing your favourite Sci-Fi songs. If this isn’t enough then there will even be fairground rides outside and tonnes of stalls and food trucks to keep you busy throughout the day. So if this all sounds as amazing to you as it does me then follow this link to buy your tickets now!
