Manchester Personalities To Battle It Out As They Investigate Bumps In The Night And Raise Cash For Charity!

Forever Manchester Halloween Lockdown

A GROUP of intrepid ghost hunters will gather in the bowels of Manchester’s Palace Hotel this Halloween with a double job to do –  expose ghostly goings-on whilst raising cash for charity.

Braving the dark corridors will be Manchester entrepreneur and bar operator Ross Mackenzie, models Charlotte Dawson, Leonna Mayor and Sarah Amelia, DJ and magazine editor Emma Wilkinson, personality J Sky, Forever Manchester Ambassador Alan Townley and the charity’s own superhero Captain Manchester.

Guiding the girls through their ghostbusting experience will be local ghosthunter, Stuart Marshall, working to find out exactly what is behind the recent spate of unexplained bumps in the night in this city centre location.

As Halloween descends, those taking part will be ceremoniously locked in the original underground vaults beneath the hotel and their only way out is to get friends and family to raise as much cash for Forever Manchester before they enter the vault!

Depending on how much money is in each competitor’s Just Giving account – they will either be released and whisked off to Forever Manchester’s Halloween Spooktacular at the Great Northern to party the night away, or locked up for even longer, until the last man or woman, standing is solo in the vault, on the eve of all hallows!

Ghostbuster Stuart has visited over 100 haunted locations all over the UK and has spent years searching for evidence of ghosts, spirits and other entities. Last year, he conducted the Lockdown for Forever Manchester underneath 53 King Street and the year before in The Corn Exchange giving him plenty of experience of Manchester spectres!

Stuart Marshall said: “Manchester has a very unique ghostly history and The Palace certainly has its fair share of stories – there is clearly something worth investigating and we are excited to have been brought on board and find out what’s been going on.”

Nick Massey from Forever Manchester added: “We salute all our contestants for facing their fears and raising money for us in this way. With a combined social media following of over 50,000 people we are hoping their followers will dig deep to ensure their swift release from the vault!”
