Manchester’s Bierkeller Launches Yorkshire Pudding Wrap

Manchester’s Bierkeller Entertainment Complex in The Printworks has launch its own version of the hugely popular craze, the Christmas dinner wrap… with a love it or hate it extra festive filling, chopped sprouts!

The nation has gone crazy for the Yorkshire pudding wrap this Christmas, with queues up to an hour long in the outdoor festive markets.

But now Yorkshire pudding wrap fans don’t have to face a rainy, snowy wait to get their hands on this year’s food must-have because they can have it on a plate, and with a serving of creamy mash potato on the side, in the warmth of either Bierkeller, sports bar Shooters or Around the World.

And if they don’t love sprouts? That’s no problem, according to area head chef Adam Van Hecke …. they soon will!

He explained:

“I wanted us to do our own hog roast take on the Yorkshire pudding wrap which has been so popular, and I decided to make it more Christmassy so instead of the carrots and other veg, I added sprouts along with the cranberry and stuffing.

“I love sprouts and I know there’s a lot of people who don’t, or think they don’t, but I want to try and change that a little bit. I guarantee by the end of Christmas we’ll have turned quite a few people to liking sprouts, that’s my challenge!”

Adam decided to introduce the £6.95 Christmas hog roast wrap after sampling the original Yorkshire Roast Co bestseller.

He said:

“I tried one out and I thought it was absolutely lovely, but I thought not everyone wants to eat out an outdoor takeaway so why not do our own version as more of a meal? Customers can come inside and have ours, with mash and gravy, and we’ve got entertainment and sport on too.

“You can either eat the mash separately, eat it all with a knife and fork or put the mash inside the wrap if you want something that’s even more hearty. It’s basically a really great Christmas dinner you can hold.”
