MasterChef champion launches Ping Pan-Asian delicatessen at Selfridges Trafford Centre

Ping Pan-Asian, a contemporary pan-Asian delicatessen by MasterChef champion Ping Coombes has opened in Selfridges at the Trafford Centre.

 

Inspired by an original taste of Malaysian-Chinese cuisine, the delicatessen is situated in the Foodhall on the Upper Floor.

 

It’s Ping’s first solo restaurant since winning BBC One’s Masterchef with her new dining concept reflecting the balance and harmony of the different cultures in South-East Asia that have combined to give the distinctive, unique taste of pan-Asian cuisine.

 


Ping Pan-Asian is an exclusive brand by PappaRich for Selfridges. PappaRich is a Malaysian born global brand, synonymous with authentic pan-Asian signature dishes and sharing a taste of modern Malaysian street food with diners across the world.

 

Ping Coombes, explains: “We’ve worked closely together to perfect the menu and they really share my passion and enthusiasm for fresh ingredients and delicious flavours. I’m excited to be open and welcome guests to enjoy our fresh and incredibly tasty food.”

 

 

Guests can drop by to purchase delicious delights such as duck spring rolls, freshly made chicken satay and Dim Sum including prawn and chive dumplings, beef siu mai and king prawn spring rolls ready to pick up for lunch or dinner.

 

Following her MasterChef win, she worked around the world as a Global Malaysia Kitchen Ambassador, published her first cookbook ‘Malaysia’ with Orion, made numerous television appearances and consulted for various restaurant projects.
