New Year, New Mind!

Lets face it, all this new years resolution stuff doesn’t seem to last long term. People make big gestures about what they will do in the New Year & rarely follow it through January. Don’t get me wrong, it all starts off with the best intention but often the foundations aren’t in place to help you stay on track!

So whether you want a complete life overhaul or you would just love to feel better in yourself this New Year, lets look at ways to make it foolproof! (Only follow these steps if you actually want them to happen!!)

Ok so here goes…

  1. Get out the old pen & paper, write down what you want to achieve, don’t leave anything out! Ask yourself how do you want to feel? Listen to your gut, make sure you are doing it 1) For yourself & 2) For the right reasons or it wont go to plan anyway.
  2. Break it down, be realistic, things go to pot when you put to much pressure on yourself & start to feel overwhelmed by your goals. Breaking them down makes it feel much more achievable & so it is.
  3. Get all your tools together! whatever will make your journey easier, start to bring all those tools together now! Whether that’s saucing some awesome affirmations to keep you motivated or doing a big healthy food shop, get organised to take away any panic or stress. The more tools you have ready, the more relaxed you will feel!
  4. Surround yourself with people on a similar mission! Its no good being around people who think you are barmy! Find people who inspire you & motivate you. Team up with someone, as being accountable for your actions really helps you stay on course & stop procrastinating.
  5. Make the journey exciting. Its so important you make it a fun & exciting journey. If you attach a negative vibe to it, your subconscious is always going to associate it with hard work which will encourage you to 1) Give up & 2) Not to bother trying again! Sound familiar?

So, create a new mind set for the new year & you’ve cracked it!

How you think about your goals is definitely going to have an impact & we want it to be a positive one! So, positive attitude all the way & get those 5 steps in place, 2018 is going to be a doddle.
