Parents, Don’t Hang Those Dancing Shoes Up Just Yet! Big Fish Little Fish – Family Rave Returns to Manchester

Kerry Cabbin | 27th April 2017

Big Fish Little Fish, Manchester

SEARCHING for something fun to do with the family this bank holiday weekend?

Then take a look at Big Fish Little Fish, who are hosting one of their award-winning family raves.

Herbie Saccani will be spinning tunes on the multi-sensory dance floor with glitter cannons, bubbles and giant parachute dance.

Big Fish Little Fish are an independent, grassroots music and events crew that host family raves with all the freedom and excitement of a mini-festival, right in the heart of cities and towns across the UK.

They started out in Brixton in 2013 and now run on weekend afternoons across the UK, and have hosted at Glastonbury Festival, Camp Bestival and Kendal Calling.

North West events organiser Rachel Wilkinson and Cathy Breen said:

“BFLF has been amazing to be involved with. Since our first party back in 2015, the response in Manchester has been unbelievable. Manchester has such an amazing music heritage that it was always set to be something special.

“In the North we’ve been lucky enough to have awesome DJs play for us, guys from the Hacienda, Cream and DJs who have DJ-ed all over the World. It’s obviously quite a different gig for them! What they love about Big Fish Little Fish is the sheer sense of fun and joy at the parties.

“Parents dancing with their kids to the music that they love and often used to go clubbing to. There’s a lot of kids on shoulders, hands in the air, glitter, balloons, bubbles and a great vibe! It’s an afternoon out where the whole family enjoys it and can spend time together – the adults look forward to it as much as the kids!”

The family friendly event is perfect for families with younger children (8 and under), but all age groups are welcome, so its ok to bring along older siblings, Grannies and Grandad too.

As well as the music and dancing, there will be craft tables with themed crafts, giant murals and playdoh table. A Play area with tents and tunnels and a baby chill-out space with mats and small ball-pool.
