Rockliffe Halls Hotel, Spa and Fine Dining

The one word  I could use to describe my stay at the Rockliffe hotel would be impeccable. From the magnificent view on the drive up to the hotel,(it made you feel as if you were in a Disney Princess film) to the most pleasant greeting at the reception and the most idyllic room with beautiful views of the surrounding grounds.

Having visited luxury hotels before I thought I had a slight idea of what to expect from the Rockliffe, however they completely blew me out of the water! They showed me the definition of luxury during my stay here.

When I walked into the huge suit that we stayed in, I was lost for words. The room was cozy and had a

homely feel to it. As you walked in you were greeted by a living room equipped with TV, Nespresso coffee machine and all of the latest magazines laid out neatly across the coffee table. The colour theme for the room was pink (to make the boys wink of course) which really brightened up the room. You walked down three little stairs to get to the main bedroom which was emaculate with pink cushions to tie in the theme. The whole living room space and bedroom were open plan which gave the room a nice fresh and airy feeling. One of the best
parts of the room was the king sized bed, you could starfish to your hearts content and still not manage to touch your other half!

The bathroom which again was exquisite. The bathroom had a TV built into the wall in the bath which I think was a really nice touch. All of the taps in the bathroom were waterfall taps which again added elegance to the bathroom.

To add to the luxury experience me and my partner also visited the spa during our stay. During my spa visit I tried out one of the facials. IT WAS BLISS! My beautician Ellie-May was one of the best I have ever had. She walked me into the room and talked me through my medical sheet whilst I soaked my feet in lovely, warm, soapy water. Then she began with the facial using so many different products from oils and exfoliating scrubs to face masks and mists. The whole experience was just so relaxed (just what I needed after a stressful two weeks of assignment deadlines.)

On our first night we had been booked into the Orangery for our evening meal. The orangery was the restaurant in the hotel that held 3 AA rosettes and apparently waiting to hear on a 4th. The food was exquisite. There was so much attention to detail within the presentation of the food. Me and my partner both ordered the 4 course Al a Carte menu for our meal. As we were seated the waiter brought out some pre-meal snacks. This was two green pesto macaroons which were divine. We were then brought sour dough bread and sea salted butter. Each course was so different but fitted together so well. It was such a great experience and would definitely recommend if visiting the hotel.

On the last day of our visit me and my partner were booked into the Garden Spa. The facilities in here were amazing. There was an outside infinity pool overlooking the picturesque gardens and countryside, within the infinity pool there were jet shower and underwater jets which created relaxing bubbles. Inside the Garden spa there were heated lounge chairs looking out onto the same idilic view and a steam room. There was complementary water, ice tea and coffee in there along with fruit and nuts to nibble on.

Overall my whole experience staying at The Rockliffe hotel was above and beyond! The attention to detail the hotel has is amazing and really makes you want to visit again. Me and my partner both agreed we would go back even if it was just to use the spa again as that was one of out favourite parts of our stay. I would 100% recommend to everyone!
