Manchester’s exclusive St James Club played host to the internationally acclaimed artist Rosana Ibarrola with a private ‘select’ exhibition of her work prior to her full exhibition in the private members club in September.

The historic club is no stranger to showcasing world class artists work, indeed the esteemed artist Harold Riley, a contemporary and close friend of renowned Salford born artist LS Lowry,is a life member of the club and a collection of his works adorns the club’s walls, in particular a UNIQUE piece which features Lowry actually sitting in the club gazing out on the club’s famous view of King Street and the city centre.

The St James Club prides itself on supporting not only established artists but also exhibiting work from new talent and the rising stars of the art world and is keen to hear from artists wanting to exhibit their work in the select surroundings of the club.

Rosana’s work has been exhibited around the world and presents a ‘sensual’ study of the feminine form which has proven to be popular amongst female collectors and she has strong client demand with her work being shown in a gallery in London.

Rosana was born in Argentina and her ‘latin flair’ can clearly be seen in her work but she now currently lives in Manchester and enjoys the diversity and vibrance that the city’s ‘art scene’ offers.

The evening was attended by a host of invited guests who enjoyed a superb selection of fine wines and canapes and followed by the  added pleasure of being able to snap up the stunning pieces in the relaxed surroundings.

Rosana’s full exhibition can be seen in the St James Club in september.
