5018As Sunday seen the Super Bowl 50 played out at the Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, The Denver Broncos are 3rd time champions of the American football world after winning 24-10 over The Carolina Panthers.

The Broncos weren’t the only stars on the field as Beyonce stole the half time show as she dominated the 12 minute break with a performances alongside Bruno Mars and Coldplay. Bey also delivered an explosive performance of her new single: Formation – a single steeped in Black American culture and a cry towards recent events in the US, including the shooting of unarmed black man Mario Woods. In her Black Lives Matter themed show, her back up dancers wore signature black berets, a iconic piece of headwear wore by Black Panther activists, a rights group that operated throughout the 60s & 70s.

Similarily, Lady Gaga also slayed her vocal performance as millions watched on as she sang the American national anthem on the green, kicking off the Super Bowl with The Star-Spangled Banner. Of course no Lady Gaga performance big or small would be complete without an outlandish outfit so Mother Monster rocked a red full sequinned custom Gucci pant suit and high heeled striped platforms, complete with patriotic red glitter eyes and blue polished paws. Verdict: She killed it.
