Manchester Jazz Festival had arrived into the city once again. This 22nd year of the festival brings together great bands, people and of course food.

Located right in the centre of everything, on Albert Square, Manchester Jazz Festival brightens up the rainy city with jazz music for nine days.

There is a stage outside with bands performing throughout the day and an inside space “Salon Perdu” with more music for lovers of jazz. Food stalls are available in Festival Square with ice cream.

People of all ages came to see Baked A La Ska, one of the bands performing in Salon Perdu on Friday night. A mixture of spooky originals and quirky covers made the band stand out.

The venue filled up very quickly and as soon as Baked A La Ska performed their first song, people started to swing into the rhythm of jazz. Dancing with beers in their hands, taking selfies with their friends, the atmosphere was buzzing. The band were making jokes throughout the evening, entertaining the audience.

After a break, people were chatting, having a good time, and the dance floor was full again in a second with more people dancing in the front. Baked A La Ska certainly seemed to be enjoying the atmosphere as people dancing to their music.

After the last song, the audience clapped for one more song. The fans of the band had one last chance to showcase their dancing skills.
