Dining out and enjoying drinks with friends is a part of every-day life, however, finding a restaurant or bar to go to if you are in a wheelchair can sometimes be difficult. To help out, we have put together our favourite restaurants and bars in Manchester that will give you easy access and delicious food and drink!

Abode– Here at Viva, Abode is our favourite place to dine out. They do absolutely delicious food and mouthwatering drinks. The menus here are a little bit more on the pricey side but the lively atmosphere and beautiful interior are sure to lure you into spending that extra cash. Plus, what makes this so great is that they cater to everyone’s needs, whether you are in an electric wheelchair, are visiting with young kids or have special dietary requirements.

Tattu– If you are a lover of Chinese food then this is the place for you! Not only is the food exquisite in both taste and presentation but they also have the best cocktail menu ever! All their cocktails are inspired by body artists so that each one has a unique style and flavour, perfect if you are after something a little bit different. The one thing that always sticks out about this restaurant for me is the huge tree in the middle of their restaurant, lit up in different colours, it is certainly a sight to see!

Iberic– If Chinese doesn’t tickle your fancy then how about some Spanish tapas? Iberic, in Spinningfields, offers classic tapas dishes with a great atmosphere. They also have two outdoor terraces which are perfect for eating and drinking outside in the warmer months. If you have a time limit and can only have time for a quick bite then Iberic do a takeout bocadillos (sandwich’s) So you can eat your food on the go or eat it at their bar.

Manchester House Bar & Restaurant– Hidden inside Tower 12 in Spinningfields this restaurant offers diners a special dining experience with a view! This restaurant is upscale, so there is a high price tag that comes with it, but it is truly a once in a lifetime experience that you will not forget! You can also relax before or after your food in the Lounge on the 12th level. There is also a lift going up to all floors so it can be easily accessed with a wheelchair.

The River Restaurant & Bar– This restaurant/bar nestled in the Lowry hotel is home to one of the longest terrace bars in Manchester! They also have superb food at reasonable prices. Their three-course menu changes each month and is just £24.95 for three courses at lunch and dinner except Saturday Evening. Sunday prices are £22.50 per person for three courses and there is always live music to accompany your meal. It is super accessible with permanent ramp access and lifts to all floors. There is also a disabled toilet in the same area as the bar & grill, plus if you decide to stay overnight at The Lowry hotel then you can take advantage of their accessible disabled rooms with walk-in showers.
