The Shires will be celebrating the release of their latest album ‘Accidentally on Purpose’ in HMV stores across Manchester, Birmingham and London with in-store acoustic performances and signings.

The biggest selling UK country act of all time, The Shires, will be performing an acoustic set at HMV Manchester in the Arndale centre on 21st April.

The Shires is made up of singer-songwriters Ben Earle and Crissie Rhodes, from Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire, England.

‘Accidentally on Purpose’ arrives after the release of their first two albums, ‘Brave’ and ‘My Universe,’ both of which reached number one in the UK charts after their release.

Not only will the band be performing songs from their third album that they recorded in Nashville, Tennessee, they will also be doing a signing.

Their songs combine Country-pop choruses and emotion in relation to their music journey, relationships and their time in the states.

‘Stay the Night,’ a beautiful love song on the new album, was written by Ed Sheeran after he and The Shires met on a night out in Nashville.

Ben and Crissie said, “Accidentally on purpose is full of personal songs that really sums up the whirlwind journey we’ve been on together.

“From the first day we met, we’ve been crazy dreamers with big plans, who really believed that country would break into the UK mainstream.

“For all those dreams, we never imagined it would all happen so quickly and we’re so proud and excited to be releasing our third album.”

The Country duo will also be travelling to HMV Birmingham on Sunday 22nd April to do a signing only, and HMV Oxford Street, London on Tuesday 24th April for a performance and signing.
