To ease ourselves in to the Festival season we headed down to the very green countryside of Somerset to savour the delights of ‘Shindig Weekender’, a small boutique music festival amongst the hills of Bruton.

Although small, this festival had everything you need to enjoy a weekend of food, drink and great music from the likes of Beardy Man, DJ Yoda, Andrew Weatherall, Dub Pistols and Stanton Warriors doing their thing.

Clearly having missed their festival of choice, everyone seemed to be going all out to make the weekend one to remember and were definitely getting into the swing of things with brightly coloured and sometimes outrageous costumes.

Great food was on hand and plenty of Somerset cider of course as well as a selection of fab cocktails.

Fortunately the weather was fine with plenty of sun to keep everyone cheerful. If you happen to be travelling to the west country next year, keep this festival in mind as a stop over on your way. As mentioned although small this festival offers enough great music and fun for all the family.
