Paige Tucker | 12th May 2017

Every couple dreams of their perfect wedding day, but sometimes other factors come before the photography. Finding the perfect place for both your wedding and for beautiful photographs can sometimes be tricky, but Manchester seems to have ironed out these issues.

This diverse city combines both the urban and the countryside into one. Whether you like modern weddings, rock chick weddings or country weddings, Greater Manchester is the place for you!

Meet the expert

We teamed up with Danielle Boxall, a professional wedding photographer, to find out why Manchester makes the best city for wedding photography.

Danielle has been in the photography world for 16 years, her inspiration came from her grandfather who “always had a camera on him” She says. After he passed, Danielle inherited all of his camera’s and equipment… as a result, a great passion began. From sports to party events, Danielle has experienced many aspects of photography, but the one she loves the most? Wedding photography!

Danielle has traveled around the UK but she says that: ” I always get drawn back to Manchester”.

But why should you choose Manchester? As Danielle said: “Manchester’s an easy city to get to there are loads of transport links and places to park for your guests”. She also noted that “The people are nice here, you can chat to anyone” and ” It ticks a lot of boxes with guests, as there is plenty of accommodation to choose from”.

Manchester is also packed full of different areas, like Danielle said: “There are urban sides, there’s the trendy districts, the outdoorsy areas…there’s just a lot of diversity”.

We went to find out what Manchester venues have to offer for engaged couples looking for great wedding photographs…
