We were very lucky and excited to be invited to Meet us in Manchester – visitBerlin and the German National Tourist Office press event.

We love travelling just like you guys do and going to an event talking about travelling to a new place, that is a dream for us.

There was so much about Berlin and Germany that we didn’t realise, we especially didn’t realise that Berlin is classed as a city which is 365/24. A city full of high culture and sub-culture, high-end shopping and products, science and scholarship, and the best in lifestyle – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

Are you the type of person who loves to see museums and exhibitions? Berlin has pretty much every type of exhibition you would want, including a collection of lipsticks, a collection of vintage bikes and starting in September is The One Grand Show which contains 500 bright costumes made by the one and only Jean Paul Gaultier. A few of these exhibitions prefer for you to book but if you contact VisitBerlin, they will be able to help you out. VisitBerlin has a huge list of events with all the dates, sights that should be seen, tours that can be booked.

There’s so many times when you’ve gone travelling and had to rush to get the last bus back to where you’re staying, this isn’t an issue in Berlin with public transport 24 hours a day, an amazing feature created by the creators of VisitBerlin is the Going Local App, within this app is personal Berlin tips from locals which will help you get the most out of your trip.
The app is perfect for those of you who want to cram in as much as you possibly can, with a map that is available to download and use offline. It helps you not get lost in a strange country, but also helps you see things you wouldn’t normally see.

VisitBerlin have sorted us out with a few images so you can see just how amazing it is.
