4 turbans to lockdown locks

All our calls for hairdressers to be designated as ‘essential workers’ seem to have fallen on deaf ears, which means most of us are going back to our roots and not in a good way.
And do we really need to wash our hair every time we get out of bed? All that wasted effort and for what? You only have to do it all over again the next day. What we want is a hideaway for hair. What we want is a turban!
A turban is the one cool accessory for these weird times. It’s like hat but one which you can wear indoors and rock a kind of vampy 1950s decadence.
For inspiration take a look at iconic turban wearers in the past – Hollywood legend, Elizabeth Taylor, French Existentialist fashionista, Simone De Beauvoir and ‘I want to be alone’ diva, Greta Garbo. The turban is the perfect solution for hair that badly needs a hairdresser.
Turbans come in all styles and fabrics, from headband-styles to fabulous statement pieces, but my advice is go glamorous or go home (OK so you already are…). This is one fashion essential that will make you stand out from the rest of the Zoom crowd and can even ensure your lockdown locks are kept in great shape.
A silk-lined turban can to smooth, condition and control frizz-prone and prevent tangled hair and is brilliant for those wanting to extend time between hair washes and blow dries, or those with hair extensions who want to keep their tresses beautifully conditioned for as long as possible. A turban can minimise breakages, split ends or bobble marks from tying hair back at night. What’s not to love?
