The city of Manchester has an abundance of fun activities throughout the seasons and one of our favourites is dancing. Whether you are older or younger, new to dancing or a professional, there is a class for you. We have rounded up some of our favourite places to go dancing in Manchester to help you decided where to get your groove on.
Located on Gorse street in Stretford, Manchester, this long-running dance centre boasts of great reviews, impeccable teachers and a dance type for everyone. They offer Ballroom, Latin, Ballet, Tap, Freestyle, Hip Hop, Burlesque & Fitsteps Classes and they even cater for wedding lessons. So whether it is for you or your child then we highly suggest you check this dance studio out.
They are open Monday – Thursday 5:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Wednesday 5:30 pm – 10:00 pm and Saturday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm.
If you are looking for something a little more unique, such as belly dancing or Bollywood dancing then Manchester dance centre will work for you. Whilst still offering a range of dance classes for children, Manchester dance centre is more aimed at adults looking to get into a new dance style or to hone their existing skills. Their classes include Street Dance, Bellydance, Flamenco, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, Ballroom, Bollywood, Burlesque, Capoeira, Pole Dance & Tango. They also do hen parties, so if you are looking for an alternative night out then this is the place to go.
Classes range from a beginners level, intermediate & professional level and it is open Monday 9:00 am – 11:00 pm Tuesday -Wednesday 9:00 am – 10:30 pm and Thursday – Friday 9:00 am – 10:00 pm.
SUNSHINE STUDIOS
If you’re a little more into street dancing then tap dancing then Sunshine studios are the place for you. They offer a range of classes throughout the week such as; Hip Hop and Street Dance, Traditional, International Dance, Modern Dance, Arts Classes, Fitness Classes, Kids Classes, Jazz Funk, Latin, Salsa, Tango, Popping, Break Dance, Locking & Dance Master Classes. It is also a great place to meet new people and learn to dance in a friendly and supportive area.

If you fancy a more fiery dance class then Salsa freedom is the place for you. They practice in many places around Manchester and everyone is welcome (it could even make a nice date). Plus, it’s a great excuse to get yourself glammed up, buy yourself a new outfit and some brand new women’s dance shoes. If you want to take up dancing to get fit whilst learning a new skill then GFFDamian dance studio may be something you will enjoy. They offer Pole dance, Exotic pole dance, Aerial hoop, Stretch, Yoga. They only have two of these for younger children but anyone over 16 can participate in any of the classes.
