There’s everything from a literature festival to Balkan Fringe theatre and £5 margs coming to Manchester in the next few weeks.
£5 margs and fringe theatre at the Firehouse
The Firehouse is packing heat as they announce their new weekly ‘Ancoats Fringe Theatre Party’, featuring Balkan Fringe freestyle theatre taking place every Wednesday from Wednesday 21st September
The Firehouse has gained cult status not just for the open fire kitchen, bar, team and service, but for what happens after dinner, bringing runway shows, fashion raves and parties to Ancoats after dark.
From next Wednesday (September 21), The Firehouse will open on Wednesdays at 4pm and are bringing a high-energy- fringe cabaret party to the city. Alongside their equally renowned margarita list, which, like their sister restaurant Ramona, are just £5.
Expect roaming freestyle Balkan musicians, spectacular sketches, fearless funnies, brazen burlesque and jovial gymnasts alongside special guest selectas making midweek something to get excited about.

Wingstop, the award-winning concept with more than 1,600 locations worldwide, has opened a new restaurant in Manchester Trafford Centre.
The new outlet will be Wingstop’s 24th UK location and its third site in Manchester.
It’s in The Orient on the ground floor of Trafford Centre. and is open between 11am – 10pm Monday- Saturday and 11am- 7pm on Sunday.
Enjoy a selection 10 bold flavours: Lemon Pepper, Atomic, Mango Habanero, Hawaiian, Louisiana Rub, Original Hot, Spicy Korean Q, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Brazilian Citrus Pepper and Garlic Parmesan.
New speakeasy bar set to open in the heart of Alderley Edge

Classic wings, boneless wings, tenders are all available hand-sauced-and-tossed with fans’ choice of bold flavours.
Wingstop has recently introduced a Big Flavour Burger available in any of the ten flavours served in a buttery brioche bun, coleslaw, ranch, and pickles.
34 London Road will be the newest addition to the Alderley Edge bar scene. This 1920’s themed establishment will mimic the illicit, hidden bars that arose during the prohibition period in the US. 34 London Road will open to the public on Friday 30th September.
Going off what we know about the speakeasy culture, you can most likely expect to find craft cocktails, rules of entry and maybe even a hidden entrance.

Christmas (yes, we know), get booking for Bongo’s Bingo
Bongo’s Bingo has announced its run of festive shows in Manchester this Christmas – The Winner Takes It All.
The UK’s original and defining bingo rave phenomenon has been leading the way since April 2015 and this December is pulling out every stop possible, with ABBA-inspired nights of festive bingo fun.
Infused with more magic than Santa’s Grotto, the shows will be stuffed like an Xmas stocking with lashings of merriment, majestic singalong music and prizes St Nicholas would approve of.
