Eight fun things to do for single people on Valentine’s Day

Rebecca Simms | 3rd February 2018

IT IS that time of the year all over again. The shelves are stocked with I love you’s and teddy bears galore and yet it is all irrelevant as a singleton. You have to listen to your loved-up friends talking about their plans for the night and them gushing over their partner when after all, at least you save money! Here is VIVA’s guide to a fun-filled night of laughter and remembering that sometimes, it’s good to be single.

1. Get your gal pals together and go and see Fifty Shades Freed – (it’s released on Friday 9th February, contain your excitement!)

The well-anticipated finale of the Fifty Shades trilogy is being released a few days prior to Valentine’s Day so why not add the date to your diary and get the girls together for a trip to the cinema to spend a couple of hours with Mr Grey. Prepare yourself, it’s set to be a wild ride.

2. Head to Bierkeller’s Ultimate Power Ballads Valentine’s Day party and let your hair down.

What better way to celebrate being single than a classic night out with a power ballad twist? Just think of it as you spending the money you would otherwise splash on a partner on something more worthwhile… ALCOHOL!  The party will celebrate legends such as Aerosmith, Guns N’ Roses, Prince, Bryan Adams,  Nickleback and includes a free shot for every singer of rock ‘n’ roll karaoke. Tickets are £3 and can be purchased online here.
