An Evening With Peter Hook And Clint Boon At The Albert Square Chop House

On  Monday 10th October, a special event will be taking place at The Albert Square Chop House. Bass legend, Peter Hook will be in conversation with the man who taught him to DJ, Clint Boon to tie in with the publication of Pete’s new book, Substance: Inside New Order.

Internationally renowned musician, DJ and Author Peter Hook will be talking to Clint about his early life with Joy Division and New Order right up until the huge success of the recent Hacienda Classical nights.

Clint Boon is a much loved broadcaster, musician and DJ He and Peter have been friends for many years so it seemed fitting for Clint to be speaking to Pete about his experiences and memories.

Having detailed the rise and fall of Madchester in his book, The Hacienda: How Not To Run A Club. Pete followed it up by Unknown Pleasures: Inside Joy Division -his documentation of the bands short, but phenomenally influential career. However it looks like Peter’s third book is set to be the most important part of his story; the New Order Years.

This in conversation event with be a rare opportunity to hear Pete talk openly to an audience in an intimate setting. Following the interview with Clint, there will be a chance for the audience to talk to Peter and ask questions.

Copies of substance will be available to purchase on the night, which Peter will personally sign. The book contains exclusive photographs and archival images from his personal collection.

Tickets are £10 and doors will open at 7pm, event starts at 8pm.
