Beauty, botox and meditation with Dr. Jonquille Chantrey

It’s been an incredibly busy and fulfilling few months since the launch of ONE aesthetic studio. I have barely stopped!
Our doctor’s client lists have soared, and we have lots of new people visiting our space, not just for our world class aesthetic treatments, but also for private meditation, sound/sensory meditation, acupuncture, and reiki treatment.
As I am driven by the inner health and mindset of my patients, I am particularly happy to see them focusing on these other areas – not just their external appearance.
Since my last blog for VIVA Magazine I have been contouring chins and defining jawlines with the newest dermal filler – Juvederm Volux. This is a total game changer for jawline contouring as previously surgery was essentially the only option.
Not only is ONE the first clinic in the UK to have this product in clinic, but I’m launching it to the international market at the Anti-Ageing Medical World Congress in Monaco on April 5th, on behalf of Juvederm International.
It’s such an honour to demonstrate this brilliant product to my international peers, particularly as in 2013 I designed the clinical pilot study for Volux and have been working on the best concepts of the facial chin profile since.
For part of the launch I shall be injecting live to a large auditorium of top doctors, and need two models who require a stronger, more defined chin or jawline. Expressions Masterclass & Beauty DeCoded
I was also in London earlier in the year, speaking at a number of high profile conferences such as the Dr Mauricio De Maio’s Expressions Masterclass which is about his M.D. codes. The M.D. Codes are a series of precise injection points , which instead of just treating the problem area, focus on treating the cause of the issue.
The formulated injection points for dermal filler are shown to elevate, rejuvenate and enhance, creating an all round natural looking result for patients.
As one of Dr De Maio’s chosen eight doctors in his international faculty, I teach this method for him to buy lamisil online advanced doctors and trainers all over the world.
Dr Fiore and Dr Barnish, my two talented doctors at ONE, completed the one of the masterclasses too, and it was a lovely weekend of catching up with friends.
I also spoke at the Beauty Decoded Live Conference at the stunning One (aptly named!) Marylebone event space in West London, educating the UK’s top journalists and the public on safe aesthetic practices, latest trends and reaching your beauty potential.
Botox Trends
As I’ve always advocated – softer looking lines with more normal expressions are the future. Frozen faces that look pinched are just so passé but we still see these results everywhere.
We inherit a lot of patients that are used to local practitioners giving them a very frozen result & it can be difficult to wean them off – even when less looks more beautiful.
Micro injections of Botox into the skin can soften wrinkles more naturally, give smoother skin quality & also improve excess sweating & reduce oil gland activity. This can help in many areas, not just the face – many of our patients feel life changing results from excessive sweating triggered by anxiety in the scalp & underarms.
Britain’s ten best Botox doctors
Last month I was delighted to be included in the Daily Mail’s top ten of Britain’s Best Botox doctors.
I think it a good Botox doctor has the ability to see the face in all expressions, the harmony and the balance of the face to create a natural smoothening whilst actually making you more attractive – not just line free.
Meditation
The well-being and healing side of ONE is really coming into itself. Our resident meditation teacher and my dear friend Ashleigh Guthrie holds regular meditation and sound healing sessions on Wednesday evenings. She also held a special mother and daughter ‘harmony’ workshop with TV Personality Leanne Brown.
During the two hour session, guests listened to Leanne as she spoke about her journey into motherhood, did affirmation exercises and learned more about the power of positive thinking and meditation. Ashleigh then led the group into a sound healing meditation.
As you can see I am extremely busy and so meditation for me is essential – not only does it help me to switch off but it powers up the creativity of my mind – helping me to achieve the best results for my patients and drive the international medical academic world forward.
