Benefit

Benefit celebrated the release of their Roller Lash mascara by bringing their pop-up beauty bar to the heart of Manchester’s Spinningfields. After a month long residency in Soho, Benefit have left the capital and brought their ‘Curl’s Best Friend’ beauty salon on tour with Manchester as the first stop.

Inspired by Roller Lash’s quirky, vintage design the beauty bar was a step back in time to a luxurious 1950’s beauty salon with lavish vintage chairs, salon-hood hair dryer light fixtures- and pink everything! Serving delicious cupcakes, cocktails and glasses of fizz at the Bene-Bar, the Curl’s Best Friend beauty salon offered glamorous makeovers, brow waxes and tints in their retro 1950’s style parlour.

Following the enormous success of They’re Real, the UK’s best-selling mascara, the beauty giants have launched the revolutionary Roller Lash mascara. As it’s name would suggest the mascara has the same effect as hair rollers but for your lashes, so there’s no need to use tricky eyelash curlers anymore. The innovative hook ‘n’ roll technology of the wand lifts, curls and separates lashes for a beautiful, wide-awake look that will last all day thanks to the 12-hour curve-setting formula.

Kyra Oates, Benefit’s head of events and promotions, told VIVA that the aim of the Curl’s Best Friend pop-up salon was to “bring people into the Benefit experience and introduce them to Roller Lash,” whilst encapsulating the fun and playful attitude of the brand. After the success of Curl’s Best Friend in Soho, Kyra explained “we decided to take it on the road, visiting as many cities as we could.” The Curl’s Best Friend tour continues throughout May and will visit Dublin, Birmingham, Edinburgh and Cardiff.

Roller Lash is now available from Benefit, £19.50
