Icons of the indie and rock scene are coming together in Manchester, as part of an exciting music event which takes place at Victoria Warehouse on 24 September 2016.

JD Presents: The Brit Project will feature a line-up of legendary bands performing on the main stage, plus a selection of superb breakthrough artists on the JD stage – giving music fans an opportunity to see established artists alongside a showcase of future stars.

Psychedelic rock legends, Primal Scream will headline The Brit Project’s main stage and Manchester’s local heroes, Black Grape have chosen this event to perform their only Manchester live show in 2016.

Heading up the JD stage are hotly-tipped Manchester band Alias Kid – managed by the man who discovered Oasis and Creation Records head honcho, Alan McGee.

JD Presents: The Brit Project is the result of a collaboration between Publica Music Events and 9Seven Group. Publica Director, and record label owner, Steven Wood:

“The idea of The Brit Project came through my love of music. I wanted to create a special music event with a festival vibe, but without the mud! In other words, an indoor festival with all the amenities. The first band we approached were Primal Scream – who I think are one of the most consistently brilliant live bands on the circuit – so I was thrilled when they agreed to headline our first event. Victoria Warehouse will be perfect for the first Brit Project – our long-term aim is to tour it around the UK in other unique venues.”

Bands confirmed so far, include: Primal Scream, Black Grape, Badly Drawn Boy, Reverend and the Makers, Eliza and the Bear, Dodgy, Glass Caves, Alias Kid, The Cupids, The Watchmakers, Feed The Kid, Sitting Pretty and Rothwell.

JD Presents: The Brit Project runs from 5pm till late.
