Did someone say an underground cocktail bar reminiscent of 1920s New York?!…

The Vintry & Mercer hotel is set to open in Spring 2018 and will connect guests to the unique story of the City’s past and the best of the modern day capital.

Located in the historic Vintry Ward, the destination is inspired by the rich cultural influences of the historic area – where the Vintry Guild traded wines and the Mercer Guild traded in fine fabrics.

Vintners Place and Mercers Hall are both moments from the hotel, and guests will discover references to these historic trades, from an evolving menu of wines to bespoke fabrics and old trading maps throughout the 92 individually decorated rooms, hallways and dining spaces.

Interiors…
Guests will be able to relax in the understated luxury of one of Vintry & Mercer’s rooms ranging from the intimate and perfectly appointed doubles to suites with glass-panelled balconies that look over London’s Southbank skyline.

All rooms have been designed with carefully considered touches including bespoke velvet headboards, textile furnishings, leather door handles and artwork.

Do Not Disturb!
Hidden away beneath is DND, a discreet, underground and sophisticated speakeasy cocktail bar taking inspiration from the clandestine bars of 1920s New York.

Visitors will be able to indulge in vintage cocktails alongside a luxe menu of small plates.

Mercer Roof Terrace
On the roof of the hotel with views looking over London’s Southbank and St Pauls – including the Tate Modern and The Shard! The menu will celebrate British ingredients that guests can enjoy inside or al fresco in the outside area.

Vintry Kitchen
A relaxed restaurant – ideal for a cosy meal in Spring! The room is elegant but informal with geometric tiled floors, urbane fittings, marble-topped tables and leather banquette seating.
