Discover Charlotte Tilbury’s Limited Edition ‘Norman Parkinson Collection’ At Selfridges
| 6th August 2015
One of the world’s most sought after makeup artists, Charlotte Tilbury has finally launched in Selfridges. Combining her twenty-one years of industry experience and product application with her innate understanding of women, one of her key aims is to create a beauty experience that’s accessible and easy to use.
Charlotte Tilbury has long been known to post Norman Parkinson images on her Instagram account. His grandson is a close friend of Charlotte’s and invited her to visit the gallery of 750,000 negatives and 3000 original prints. Inspired by the legendary collection, she set out to create a dreamy line of limited edition wonder products that feature iconic and original images.
The stunning collection seeks to immortalise Norman Parkinson in makeup form, but also captures his master of light manipulation and his careful sensibility for spectrums of colour.
Intrigued, we headed to Selfridges for a Charlotte Tilbury masterclass, desperate to learn more about the art of beauty. The collection comes with two looks-
Miss 1975, which is sun-kissed and sexy. With a golden glow from within, the look pays homage to Jerry Hall’s first Vogue cover, shot by Norman Parkinson on Montego Bay, June’75:
While the creamy sun tan bronzer melts into the skin for a sun kissed definition, the dreamy highlighter creates effortless luminosity.
Perfectly complimentary to bronzed skin, this glamorous pop of colour is both fun and moisturising.
Captivate the room with one glance with this luxurious mousse in a delicious grey-green that pays tribute to the sultry feline eyes of the iconic model, Veruschka.

Miss Kensington, which exudes a dreamy flush of youth. Channeling the diffused light and ethereal focus of Norman Parkinson’s 60’s muses, the look feels quintessentially English:
Encased like a time capsule of vintage Hollywood, the Colour of Youth is a rosy tint that captures the youthful, soft-focus light of Parkinson’s lens.
In a pretty English-rose pink, this matte lipstick works wonders for those with fairer skin tones in a long-lasting formula.
Jean is a gorgeous, sparkling-pink champagne inspired by the iconic beauty Marilyn Monroe.
If there’s one thing we love most about Charlotte Tilbury, it’s that she never undervalues the importance of skincare as the foundation of every look. Bringing you the ‘Gift of Goddess Skin‘, here’s Charlotte’s guide to achieving that breathtakingly youthful glow:
Step 1: For dramatically smoother, baby soft, purified skin, apply a generous layer of my revolutionary Goddess Skin Clay Mask (VIVA’s hero product) across your face, avoiding the delicate eye area. Leave and relax for 10 minutes. Rinse off using warm water.
Step 2: Follow by massaging the miracle-working Magic Cream across your face to treat, transform and flood your skin with moisture, leaving you with glowing, hydrated skin in a flash.
Step 3: To enhance the luminosity of your skin, apply an instant soft-focus with Wonderglow primer to your entire face, focusing on your cheekbones and brow bone for an instant lift and radiant complexion.
