DJ E.M.A is back in Bali and parties hard at Glitterbox

I’ve now left the hustle and bustle of Changsha and have arrived back in the paradise Indonesian island of Bali baby, and what better way to kick start my round 2 #DJAirMiles Bali adventures than attending a big banging Glitterbox party.

 

I was absolutely gutted I would be missing the Glitterbox tour in Oz, but then the news dropped that the tour would be stopping by Bali for a bit of a boogie woogie, and lucky enough I was going to be here yaaaaa!

 

 

This would be my second time attending Glitterbox, my first was back home in the UK at Church in Leeds. As you already know I love to party and Glitterbox in my eyes in one of the greatest parties of all time. 

 

Glitterbox venue for the evening was at KU DE TA, one of Bali’s finest beach clubs located in Seminyak, completely different to Church in Leeds it was a more intimate vibe.

 

 

The line-up for the evening was Mousse T, The Shapeshifters, Teni Tinks live and the big boss man himself, Simon Dunmore.

 

I dragged along my next door neighbours, two Canadian guys who had never heard or been to a Glitterbox party before, I dressed them up true E.M.A style and said… “Boys trust me you’re going to have the best night off your life”.

 

We arrived as Dunmore was banging out some classic Glitterbox hits and headed straight for the podium box in the middle of the dance floor, and that was us for the night making some serous shapes till 2am in the morning, the Canadian boys were loving it.

 

After Dunmore’s set, I managed to grab a little chat with him behind the stage and gave him some of my new releases on a USB. Simon’s been a big inspiration to me since I started DJing, so I was buzzing to finally met him, and he was such a lovely man in person. Throughout the evening he made such an effect with guests, chatting and taking pictures with everyone, and even joined us on the dancefloor telling everyone to get low! Absolute legend.

 

I was super excited to hear The Shapeshifters set as Simon Marlin had a big disco hit out this year called ‘Life Is A Dancefloor’ featuring my friend Kimberly Davis from Chic. And yes, much to my delight he dropped this banger, with Teni Tinks covering Kimberly’s vocals for the night, and the dance floor went off.

 

 

 

Unfortunately, we missed Mousse T set, but it looked like he’d warmed up the crowd pretty well by the time we’d got there and you could see him jumping about the dancefloor throughout the night!

 

Another epic party from the Glitterbox gang which just confirms to me… life is a dancefloor and Glitterbox is the mother fucking host!
