Eminem Teases New Album Ahead of Leeds Festival Return

Eminem fans have long awaited the release of new solo music, with the 44 year old remaining relatively quiet since The Marshall Mathers LP in 2013, and it seems as though the wait may almost be over.

The 15 time Grammy award winner confirmed in October last year that he was working on a new album:

But since then he has fallen silent on the subject, leaving speculation on who he has been working with and the rumour mill of leaked tracklists to run wild.

A document posted on Reddit soon after the announcement claimed that the album would be called Success and include featured artists such as The Weeknd and Adele, but many believe this document to be false as the ‘release date’ of January 25 2017 is now a thing of the past.

Following this, rumours were rife once again in November 2016 when guitarist and composer Mike13 claimed he was working with Eminem:

As he has worked with artists such as LL Cool J and DJ Khaled in the past, it doesn’t seem impossible that a Mike13 and Eminem collaboration could be on the cards, yet once again Eminem remained silent.

Last month Eminem fans were spun into a frenzy when HitsDailyDouble claimed a source had informed them that the long awaited album will be released this Autumn, but after the false January release date many remained dubious of the almost too-good-to-be-true news.

And then came Friday when the ‘source’ we have all been waiting for, Marshall Mathers himself, posted the following on Instagram:

Kumbaya motherfuckers! More soon from the Shady Shop. #CampShady

This cryptic post does not directly confirm that new music is coming soon, however it is certainly alluded to. Who knows, maybe the lucky attendees of Leeds Festival next weekend could be the first to hear new music from Eminem? It’s definitely a performance not to be missed.
