Farr Festival 2017

Lydia Ransome | 12th July 2017

Running from 13th July – 16th July, Farr Festival is set amongst colourful lit woodland and breathtaking views of Hertfordshire, bringing Bygrave Woods to life for the eighth year running. With less than a day to go, us at VIVA Magazine are gearing up to enter the forest, just a 30 minute train journey from London Kings Cross.

Originally a party for friends and family in 2001, the boutique festival’s success has increased massively, now welcoming the biggest names in electronic music to perform to a community of 6000. Still generating the charm and magic from it’s roots, Farr organisers pride themselves in retaining the intimacy.

A dedicated team of designers, made up of BoomTown alumni, have been working tirelessly to bring unique live performances that will feature the likes of Todd Terje, Booka Shade, Nao, Red Axes, Submotion Orchestra, Mungo’s Hi Fi, Jordan Rakei, SG Lewis, Shanty, General Levy and many more.

Tremendous additions will be making this year’s edition the best yet, with the main announcement being the brand new stage; The Factory. Comprised of 52 shipping containers arranged to accommodate 2500, this stage will bring awe to the Farr audience, with increased visuals and sound systems. Music will be thundering across the six stages from Thursday across to Saturday, making it a festival to remember.
