Farr Festival reveals Sunday line up

Alicia Boukersi | 1st March 2018

We revealed last month that Farr Festival will be celebrating their ninth year with even bigger names – headliners include Mount Kimbie, Dixon and Tom Misch – and another full day of music. Leaving us in the dark for a month, the festival organisers have finally announced the Sunday line-up and it’s even better than we expected.

Sunday 8th July will see Thomas Franzmann aka Zip play an immense four-hour set. The German artist began his career in 1986 as a singer before forming an audio-visual project a decade later. Zip then founded the Perlon record label where tracks, including ‘Bushes’, have gained chart topping success and been remixed by Fatboy Slim and Derrick Carter. The DJ is familiar with dancefloors around the world but the Bygrave Woods could make for an even more surreal venue.

Fresh from Love International and Resident Advisor in Croatia, Hunee will be performing his playful and super-soul infused house music tracks at Farr Festival. As likely to go for a classic house record as he is a disco curveball, a boogie delight or mixing an African bomb into a techno record, each selection he makes is powerful. Hunee has made a name for himself after countless Boiler Room appearances, and he’ll be one to watch at the festival (especially if he drops ‘Rare Happiness’).

Another exciting name on the line-up is Interstellar Funk, the alias of Olf Van Elden. The Dutch DJ – a member of Rush Hour, Dekmantel and Young Marco’s Safe Trip – is known for his obscure take on electronic and techno beats which have made him an integral member of the vibrant Amsterdam dance music scene.

Adding artisanal food and drink, holistic activities; including workshops, yoga and meditation, plus hot tubs, talks and cocktail workshops, the ninth edition of Farr Festival offers a beautifully balanced extended weekend of music, arts, wellness and lots of fun in summer 2018, an essential destination for festival lovers which continues to flourish.
