The finale of the UK’S summer festival is here and has announced the details of the very special David Bowie Reimagined tribute will take place on the main stage. It will feature a line up of female vocalists playing tribute. They will be accompanied by the world renowned Manchester Camerata orchestra who have just played at two big sell out nights -Sydney Opera House and Australian Chamber Orchestra. Joining The Manchester Camerata No.6 have made their very own band including Larry Gott from James on guitar. Dave Maric on piano and Pete Marshall on drums.

On the stage performing what will certainly be a moving performance to the worlds most loved and respected performers are a mixed range of artists, from Charlotte Church, Jacqui Abbott to Jane Weaver and Nadine Shah.

Joe Duddell commented: “I’ve been involved in Festival No.6 since the beginning, and can’t think of another festival who encourage artists to push boundaries like No.6. As composer-in-residence we’ve had some incredible intimate gigs in Portmeirion Town Hall with my classical ensemble and artists such as Daughter, James, East India Youth and Steve Mason.”

For Joe, this tribute to an important British icon and role model is another chapter with No.6 that he is very much looking forward to. He continued to say: “The Bowie gig is an extension of our approach to reimagining songs. But it promises to be spectacular with such a renowned orchestra on the main stage and some very special guests. Bowie was such an androgynous figure and so  much of his output is very high in range so an all female vocal line-up seemed the most natural thing to do.”
