And we all know how important smelling good is, whether you want to bag a date, get ahead in work or make your presence felt.
Why smell is so important
When it comes to our senses, smell is said to be the most important, especially in relationships and is also thought to be the most powerful when it comes to evoking emotions, particularly memories.
Whether it’s down to pheromones or as some experts say our DNA that means we love the smell, well of our loved ones, how good you smell is often the first impression you make, so choosing your aftershave is a major decision.
And the top tips, don’t splash it all over. If you’re putting it on your face, thoroughly clean your face first (even if you’re more stubble or a beardy), then splash cold water to close pores. Splash aftershave in the palm of your hands and keep them open for a few seconds to let some of the alcohol evaporate, then dab your skin.
Don’t forget other body zones, inside the wrist, the nape of the neck and don’t be tempted to rub wrists together as this just causes waste.
Or if it’s a spray not a splash, then you can try spraying in front of you and walking into the mist to avoid overkill.
