Last night was opening night in Manchester and I was privileged enough to see the magical work of Michael Flatley.

Irish dancing has never been much of an interest to me however, Flatley’s cast and choreography has left me amazed. Never in my life have I seen such a complex yet effortless production. The use of special effects and live props had me and my plus one on the edge of our seats throughout the show. From the narrative to the costumes, the shows production as a whole was fantastic!

Now, I must to speak about the fiery cast, musicians and dancers. My critiquing eye was out in full force during the show, but I was pleasantly surprised. Seduction, humour and unity were present throughout the show.
Manchester’s very own James Keegan stole the show too. His bubbly personality shone through his lead character role as ‘Lord Of The Dance’ and his cast mates didn’t disappoint either. Zoltan Papp, Keegan’s rival throughout the show had an impressive influence on the audience.

Described by audience members as “a continuous thrill”, the show deserved it’s long awaiting standing ovation.

Flatley’s hand picked cast will be at the Palace Theatre Manchester until Saturday the 15th of April 2017.
