VIVA went to the Ivy for the launch party of the app and for a chat with the boys behind the high end fashion & shopping brand.

 

The Couture Club was co-founded in 2015 by MTV Ex on the Beach’s Ross Worswick and Scott Shashua and now has three stores in Manchester, Newcastle and more recently, in London at Westfield Stratford City.

 

 

Scott told VIVA: “The launch of our app has been six months in the making and was an essential move for our business for a number of reasons.

 

“We feel it’s important to continue to stand out and elevate ourselves from the other independent brands that started out like us and used Instagram to grow.

 

“Unlike many of them we’ve taken those extra steps, like this one, to become a household brand.

 

“The app will improve our customers’ experience, because they will be able to navigate around it more quickly, and more smoothly than the website.”

 

 

Ross added that the company soft-launched the app first in order to let existing, registered customers play around with it.

 

He said: “We wanted to be able to sort through any teething problems before fully launching the app to the public.

 

“But amazingly what we have seen is that purchases through it are already overtaking ones made through the website.”

 

 

Love Islander Micheal Griffiths who models for the brand attended the event and was in good spirits.

 

The app is available to download on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
